When Tom's blind date insults Nell, he returns to apologize in time to rescue her from a savage attack. Tom and Nell are equally smitten on the spot. Nell has been divorced for ten years and Tom has never been with a woman. Nell agrees to teach him the `facts of life' as she knows them and Tom confesses to being a `slow learner'.
Love blossoms but Tom disappears in an explosion. Nell's attacker spots her and stalks her intending to get the `one who got away'. Nell doesn't know but someone is stalking the stalker.
When someone saves her she thinks he may have been Tom but how could it be and why would Tom not want her to know if he is alive?
