There is so much bitterness, hatred, rancor, betrayal, envy, wickedness, and the like in the world today. In other words, love has become a very scarce commodity in our society, as siblings, spouses, friends, neighbours, organizations, communities and even nations are constantly at loggerheads with one another.
Consequently, the world continues to witness avoidable severe calamities and casualties over issues that mutual love would ordinarily resolve. For instance, genuine love for our neighbours and humanity in general will easily curtail certain habits, vices and crimes, like abductions, immorality, fraud, murder, rapes, to mention a few.
Needless to say, our society is in dire need of true love today, because love is the only virtue or ingredient that can really transform an erstwhile enemy or opponent into a dependable cum faithful ally or friend.
