Lucifer Takes A Bride

 Buttercup Sweet Price was sent across the country to spend some time with her Aunt Gemmy, in San Francisco. The thoughts of traveling across the country during those times are somewhat daunting, but Bea has convinced herself that the adventured will be eye-opening and exciting.  

     She's being escorted by one of her father's oldest friends and isn't worried until they find themselves sharing a coach with five mail-order brides who are on their way to Benson Arizona; a town nearby the notorious town of Tombstone. 

     Bea has a difficult time keeping her mouth shut about the young women's predicament, and quickly makes an enemy of one of the brides to be. 

     Lucifer Grant, a nephew to Ulysses S. Grant, is thrilled when his uncle becomes the eighteenth president of The United States, but his uncle began demanding more of his time, and Lucifer had grown tired of living that life. He wanted something more laid back and straightforward.

     Lucifer first went out west to get away from being in the center of the political wars taking place all around him. Then he stumbles across a small town who is lacking leadership and volunteers to take on the role of sheriff until they can find a replacement.

     He's caught in the middle of the wars between the townsfolk, and outlaws who are trying to take over the mines.  He's ready to give it all up and return to his family back east until a stagecoach arrives carrying five mail-order brides on board.
