Lucky Night

For six years, Nick and Jenny have been having an affair-a highly pleasurable, no-strings escape from their ordinary lives. One winter night, they meet in a Manhattan hotel room, expecting to enjoy a bout of delirious sex and idle conversation. And they do.

Until a fire breaks out in the hotel.

At first, it's nothing but an inconvenience. The fire is manageable, it's far below them, the building is state-of-the-art... they just have to stay calm and wait it out. And so they wait. And wait. Unfortunately, their relationship wasn't built for waiting. Or stressful situations.

They fight. They make up. They fight some more. They joke and tease, seduce each other, aggravate the hell out of each other. Little by little, they also start lowering their defences, opening up as never before about their marriages, their pasts and what led them to each other. As the hours pass, and help does not arrive, the approaching fire will reveal all the secrets they've been hiding from each other and from themselves.
