Luther and the Reformation is historical religious analysis by Joseph Augustus Seiss. Seiss was one of the most popular Lutheran pastors of the nineteenth century. In addition to his pastoral duties, he was active as a lecturer and writer, here presenting an analysis of speeches and texts by Martin Luther, a well-known German priest, theologian, author, hymnwriter and professor during the early 16th century who was the namesake of the Protestant Reformation.
