Lyrics First: How to Write Effective Song Lyrics

Would it be worth something to you if I could explain how to improve your song lyrics, or, for those who are struggling, if I could teach you how to improve your process so that your lyrics are more effective? Stronger? Faster? Rebuilt like a 6 million dollar man, better than before?

Well, you're in luck, because that's what this book is all about. And it's cheap, at least from my point of view. Just think about how many hours we have all spent mastering an instrument so we could play an accompaniment, or lessons so we could improve our voice? Hundreds, maybe thousands of hours. That's a lot of time, effort, and money to get those skills. Meanwhile, we don't spend much time learning how to write lyrics. Lyrics First doesn't mean write an entire song lyric without the music first (although I show you how to do just that). What it really means is that your lyrics count, they matter. They have to be based on a strong enough premise to carry the song even if other things aren't always going your way.
