When male model and escort Nick Daniels suffers damage to his face in a New Year's Eve snowy car crash en route to Philadelphia from ringing in the New Year in New York's Times Square, rather than be glad he is alive, Nick feels that, scarred facially, he might as well be dead. The crash was caused by Nick's drunken Philadelphia model photo shoot boss, Steven Saylor, who had just failed to perform in a three-way sexual encounter with Nick and the photo shoot sponsor, Harvey Williams, in a New York hotel. Williams arranges for Nick's recovery and facial reconstruction with prestigious plastic surgeon Kumar Singh, in Singh's exclusive clinic in Madison Mills, Pennsylvania, but Nick has a long distance to go in coming to grips with his future.
