Alexander Hinkel and the cheeky boxing club owner, Janke Lofstat, are back for a second season of solving murders! Together they tackle ten new and intriguing murder investigations with the help of Agrippa's police captain Robert Flint. And this time, Hinkel and Janke have to try and juggle the ups and downs of their new romantic relationship on top of it all, without it affecting their work...
When a group of actors have a recital for a new mystery theatre production in the Agrippa Arts Theatre, Hinkel and Janke are asked to come and evaluate the credibility of the murder scene. Hinkel isn't one for drama, and he doesn't pull his punches when saying exactly what he thinks is wrong with the play. Nonetheless, it doesn't look like anyone takes offence. Quite the opposite: With the opening it would seem as if the actors have taken Hinkel's criticism to heart. Everything looks very realistic. Even too realistic because when the curtains come down, Hinkel finds out that, this time, the murder wasn't make-believe.
