After the long and terrible journey they've taken down the East Coast, Ben and Nathan have earned a break. The Angel of the Felled Tower is more than happy to provide one.
Picking up where they left off at the windowsill, Nathan and Ryaden rekindle a passion neither of them have been able to forget. Death takes a much-needed holiday, and works on putting his fractured mind back together after spending such a long time fighting blind.
Ben doesn't know how to feel about Nathan's new attitude. He doesn't know what to make of this new, much less grim Reaper. Sure, everything is better since the Makhvet got his true name back. Ben doesn't trust better. He trusts Nathan, and he isn't sure if the Angel of Acceptance is still keeping that human side around.
None of this can last. Now that he's fully awakened, Acceptance has to go looking for the Aspect he's supposed to protect. Ben has a life to go back to, waiting for him at the top of Green Hills Road. Sure, the sun feels nice. The weather is beautiful, and so is the company. But is getting comfortable like this really okay?
