Like Melissa and Erik, our main characters, Lisa feels good about the relationships that her husband and she have maintained with folks they met at various volunteer sites. The sore muscles and tired backs are long forgotten. All that is left are the fond memories of the people who were a part of their lives for a short time, some enduring friendshipsand possibly a good story idea or two. Lisa's motto about volunteering is, "Give as much as you can whenever you can."
