This volume covers a 20-year career in academia that features undergraduate and graduate school activities that led to being an Instructor in Civil Engineering at the University of Colorado and all ranks of Professor of Civil Engineering, and Assistant, Associate, and Acting Dean of Engineering at New Mexico State University (NMSU). Teaching activities at the undergraduate and graduate levels are discussed. Research activities in concrete at both universities are outlined and transportation safety studies at NMSU are presented. Administrative functions dealing with recruiting students, engineering accreditation processes, and performing a multitude of administrative functions at NMSU are highlighted.
