Mercy grew up in fear of her magical powers, in fear of the very thing that made her what she is. So she forced them deep inside of herself until, backed into a corner, she loses control and injures her father. Devastated, she sets off to find a witch that can teach her to hone her skills. Mercy's journey leads her into new lands where she meets Ka'Soran, a young human scholar and Repeat, a vagabond shapeshifter, and learns to accept who and what she is.

But something goes awry and war is on the horizon.

Together, Mercy and her friends set off into the Witchlands to find Pasaru, the hidden witch kingdom, to warn the witches and to save the world as they know it.
