Erin survived her ordeal with Saul, and is free, but what now? What should she do with the rest of her life? What can she with what she is now?

What will happen when the other brother of the Company, Adan, propositions her to stay with them, in her old position, even though he was one of the brothers that tore her old life apart?

Elves are being killed in town, and she is pulled in to help solve this case, with a new partner, a Mon'Thal partner. One who can smell not just what she is (and wants a taste) but also her... mood changes. Her heat hasn't lessened either and as it goes on, she craves release from it more and more.

Erin isn't changing to be less of a Cow either, upset at this she will try to halt her change, and the changes to her life, but this will have consequences.

Can Erin come to terms with her new self and new way of life, or will she fall under the control of someone else, like someone of the more dominant species to hers, the one that historically has controlled, cared for and kept, Cows. Will she let herself be taken by one of the Orcs in her life?
