All Evelyn wanted was to live a normal life, but with the ability to hijack another's mind at will, how normal could life really be? Born in seclusion and raised in secrecy for what she was, Evelyn Moore longed for a normal life. She longed to be around other people, kids her own age she could call friend. And at the age of twelve she finally got her wish. But life for a Mind Jumper was not an easy one, and with so many minds waiting to be controlled, it didn't take her long to put her gift to use.

For eight years Evelyn lived mostly by her parent's strict rules, only entering another's mind in dire circumstances, but when the Gatherers - a clandestine group charged with arresting her kind, found her, her life took a turn for the worse, becoming a game of cat and mouse as she fought for survival in a world out to get her.
