All my life I chased a dream that i believed was in a land far away from Africa. From the time I was a teenager, watching American TV show, my favorite one been "prince of Belair", believing that anyone that had the opportunity to get to the united states of America with have the same blessing. Confusing a TV show to the reality of life. Noone would have been able to change my mind.
It was not my dream, it was a collective of dreams from a group of young people delusional of their home country.
The Awakening
The process was long, the journey painful, after experiencing pain, failure, rejections, making fun off because of my African name but also fulfilling as i learn how to be a entrepreneur, mature, and tough, I finally came full circle. My place was not there but back on the continent. The paradise I had created in my head was just a mirage. Even tho I learn a lot in the USA, made me the entrepreneur I am today, America was the hardest country i ever experience in my life.
If you an African diaspora Living abroad or contemplating moving west, this book is for you, you want to come home or you need some insight on how life can be in the USA, you have some concerns or questions, you need some inspiration or a push read this book. But what I found is a peace of mind, quality of life, I find my true self and where I truly belong.
This book is not about US vs Africa, this is a book about my personal experience and my journey back, my fears and failures, my doubts, seeking a purpose that i found coming back home. I hope you enjoy this journey that is still on going.
In this journey, you going to hear anecdote stories, about failure resilience, hope, and purpose. A story of never giving up or fighting.
