Dear Reader:

I write about my experiences to provide insight about abuse, mental health, and the mental health system. I want to emphasize the purpose of this personal story is not to bash anyone or to exact revenge. It is to inform people of harsh experiences and how to take action. The purpose of this personal story is also to inform people about the role mental health plays in building and maintaining relationships, job productivity, keeping a job, crime, and more. I will relay my experiences and lessons learned through my struggle with mental health. Additionally, I include some essays about God. I am not claiming to be a follower of God yet I feel compelled to let you know that if you can muster the courage to believe in God, I believe that He may be the answer to many if not all of life's struggles.
