Without buildings to maintain or staff to sustain, the church no longer is seen as a private club or guilt-trip haven to heaven. Instead, its focus is on caring and sharing, living here-and-now, not in the hereafter. Rather than part of our worldly empires, the church has become their antithesis. From guts to glory, the church begets reform.
