Emily Carver is a produce grower for local restaurants. Rick Dalton is a fresh face in the quiet neighborhood. His demons follow him everywhere, but for some reason when he meets his next-door neighbor, he can't help but want to be better than the man he's been in the past. An accidental and totally confusing kiss late one night makes Emily and Rick both question their mixed up emotions, and try to explain away the sparks of desire with any excuse they can think of.
