Richard Burley is a failing playwright, living in Brooklyn with his wife Kara. He's forty and it's getting hard to make ends meet as a writer, but he's still determined to try, whatever the cost. Thinking he needs to take a bike ride around the park to clear his head, he has a series of metaphysical encounters that affect him in ways he has never experienced before.
