New Camelot's Levi the Lender

Malik Leviticus is beset with multiple crises on his first day of ascending as the Levi Empire leaderall of them dealing with women. Facing him when he returns from his father's last rites is a bitter step-mother insisting his brother be sent to the other side of New Camelot and her nephew be given a prestigious post. A beautiful young noblewoman arrives and stands before him terrified of the rumors she's heard about him. As The Levi, he commands a wide diaspora of financial lenders located in every major port and city throughout the known world. Kings pander to him to solicit the gold he possesses to fund their wars. And then there is the other more pressing problem. Someone is attacking his lenders. Five have been assaulted by blank-faced knife-wielding assailants. Even he is not immune, for someone tries to poison him. Malik suspects a sorcerer is using evil magic, directing innocent victims to do his bidding though hypnosis. Invariably, the High Sheriff becomes involved in Malik's affairs. Bronson is determined to hang the perpetrator after a fair trial. Malik has another idea for the evil sorcerer's demise. Juggling three women and a maniac is going to take all of Malik's leadership skills and Keeva's wit to keep the Levi empire intact and unscathed from a talented and diabolical enemy.
