Nicole Learns Foreplay; The Coming of Age of an American Girl

Nicole lives in a small southern town close to Charlotte, NC. "Nicole Learns Foreplay; The Coming of Age of an American Girl" deals with two periods in her life. The opening chapter describes a three person sexual meeting between a thirty something Nicole, Doug (her current lover) and Ted. The story then shifts back to an 18 year old Nicole and her introduction to lovemaking with Derek, who is a friend of her step-brother Chad. Derek teaches the naive Nicole "foreplay" as his version of how to satisfy a man.

During the majority of her formative years, Nicole was subject to the suppression and strict control of her religious father. When she was seventeen, her mother divorced her father and re-married. Nicole and her mother moved in with their new extended family, which included her step-brother Chad. While 18 and attending high school, many sexual experiences with Chad's friend Derek provided Nicole's initiation into the adult world. Due to a perceived conflict with both her mother and step-father, Derek and Nicole did not date. Their lovemaking sessions, which did not include sexual intercourse, occurred in Nicole's room during afternoon meetings after school.
