The second in the series of three diaries about running a bed and breakfast guesthouse - a sequel to Wipe Your Feet Please!. Simon, the owner, and his wife Sally, a part-time teacher, both write diary entries about day-to-day incidences. Simon has little patience and becomes frustrated with the guests who find him irritating. Simon plasters the walls of the hall and dining room with notices forbidding his guests to undertake various activities. He wages war on dog-walkers who won't clear up their dogs' poo; has a disastrous holiday in Spain and continues his on-going battle with his ex-friend Derek, the owner of the guesthouse next door. His long-suffering wife attempts to maintain harmony and placate guests.
