Vinnie Valentino refuses to allow his mother, a woman he barely tolerated, to control him, or his life. He is at his wit's end as to how to handle her. It isn't until he overhears a random conversation that he comes up with the perfect plan. Once he puts it in motion, everything turns out to be brilliant.

Annalie Camp has a live-long dream to fulfull. Travel the world and look at it through the lens of her camera. There is only one problem, her family thinks she needs to be attached to someone before she leaves, hoping it will derail her from going. In order to stop her family from ruining her dreams, she comes up with a plan. She will 'date' someone to keep her family off her back. She needs to find the perfect person that won't want to get serious, but will be attentive enough with her to fool her family.

When Vin hears her plan, he auditions for the part.

Can they keep their feelings out of things as they use each other to get what they want? Will they be able to walk away from each other at the end of the date they give themselves with no regrets?
