Detective David Howard, Detective Kaiden Stephenson, and Dr Joanna Cortez are back at it. Again.

When Kaiden attends a party and witnesses a suspicious death, she is not sure what to think. The victim had no history of disease; and now he's dead. It could be an accident, but is it an accident? Dr Cortez joins the detectives as they try to make sense of the situation. It has been ten years since the death of Louis McKay's wife, and finally, he has found love again and he's ready to settle down. But will it be happily ever after everyone wishes for?

Joanna can't help thinking of her experiences a few months back; when she lost special people as well. She finds it easy to connect with Aleena Gibbons and to understand her, but is Aleena being honest with everyone around her, or is she hiding something?

This new case triggers a memory for Detective Howard; one that might give them a motive for the crime. This explanation, however, rules out the only reasonable suspect they have; the son of the deceased. If he did not do it, then who did?

That one murder leads to more murders as the murderer tries desperately to cover the tracks and mistakes. This might seem like an easy case to solve, but as is the case with criminals; nothing is ever that easy.

Sometimes you do one thing and you don't think, then you do another thing to cover up for that one. This becomes a pattern until you're caught. The killer might be someone we least expect or someone we can't prove.
