Nonsense Animal Verses

This collection of thirty pieces of doggerel, as it was once known as, is basically a folio of artless verse with a humorous spin. The poems are accompanied by illustrations which are designed to mostly spirit you away from the harsh realities of everyday human life.

The author has written quite a bit of poetry over the years which is a writing form not to everyone's taste. However, in this clutch of verses, the slant is towards simple, hopefully funny rhyme which might be a dying art. After all, how many times can we stand seeing the words 'heart' and 'part' thrown together in a verse with even worse words?

The hope is that anyone reading the book will be cheered up as we dip into the twilight world of forests at night, dusty Saharan plains and lakes and ponds and fantasy creatures, well a couple anyway! But animals are a fascinating subject and so I lovingly dedicate this little book of verse to them.
