One Last Time

Six years ago, I broke her heart, but I'm not going to make the same mistake again.

When I entered the bridal store as a favor to my sister, I didn't expect to see my first love, Brooklyn, in a wedding dress.

I'd let her go, I thought it was the right thing to do back then. Now, she's about to marry someone else.

I deserve the heartache, I know do.

For a moment, she turns to me, her smile falters, shock replaces it, and fear strangles any words I might have said.
