Oppenheimer: Father of the Bomb

To bring you to this story, we interrupt our program to take you to Washington. I have just returned from the White House, where it has just been announced that the United States is now using an atomic bomb, the most powerful explosive yet developed. The first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, a military base. We won the race of Discovery against the Germans; we have used it in order to sharpen the agony of war, in order to save the lives of thousands and thousands of Young Americans. We shall continue to use it until we completely destroy Japan's power to make war. Japanese say that 126,000 died as the result of the damage done by the single bomb that blasted the city. There's reason to believe that the Japanese city of Hiroshima no longer exists. Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds. Thank you, Dakota historian.
