Johnny Viridian's demon of an ex-girlfriend had returned to ruin his life. For weeks he searched for the murderous Saraqael, only to come up empty-handed at every turn. Saraqael and her Starlings set out to expose infernals and celestials to the world, driving Johnny to desperate measures to stop them from putting Jenny, Billy, and the boys in danger. Every night he hunted the creature that Saraqael called her beast, while losing himself in the darkness he thought he had long left behind.
