Only two remain. And time is slipping.

It¿s only been a day since Kay sacrificed his all in order to save the world; only a day since Jodi rose to fight her greatest enemy once more; only a day since Aiden¿s betrayal; only a day since Annabelle and Damian achieved their first step in the ritual of the Infinite Night.

Realizing they need to take risks to keep the Infinite Night from falling, no matter the cost, Jodi, Kay and their friends have rallied the army of Insomnia to destroy the remaining two Stone Circles and plan to travel to the Circle in Miller themselves¿but the entire world believes the Sleepwalkers are the enemy and refuse their help.

While everything is already working against them, Damian ups the stakes when he invites two of his companions to assist him with the remaining steps needed to complete the ritual, awaiting Annabelle¿s recovery from Jodi¿s unprecedented attack.

Jodi, however, has opened a connection between her and the Nightprowler.
And she can sense Annabelle already growing in strength.

Upon black shadows, the Night arrives, claiming the streets of Somnus and Reid, and possibilities start to look bleak until an unexpected invitation from an Insomnia soldier finds Jodi and Kay: they are not alone¿an entire army is waiting to fight along with them in this war.

As Kay struggles with his brother¿s betrayal, Jodi with her growing connection to Annabelle, and both of them with their unspoken feelings for one another, they let the mysterious invitation lead them to the tropical city of Maina, where darkness lurks in the rainforest¿ and perhaps even in broad daylight.

Jodi and Kay soon realize they are more than mere soldiers in this war against the Night¿they are leaders; they are the voices that need to be heard.
