A Passover Seder Script for Christian Families

There are more than 2,000 different Passover Seder texts, each one emphasizing the theological aspects most important to those celebrating it. In this companion to her book The Feasts and Festivals of the Messiah, Lynda Cherry outlines a script that aims to follow as closely as possible the celebratory ritual that Christ and His apostles might have followed during their last Passover feast together.

The Lord commanded the ancient Israelites to keep the Passover throughout their generations forever (Lev. 23:21). What can this ancient ritual teach us about the Plan of Salvation, and the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Jesus used the emblems of the Passover meal to institute the first sacrament and to teach the Apostles about His role as the Messiah.
