Pernicious

Astra has seen demons her entire life, but she believed the ominous shadows and flickers of evil to be just tricks of the imagination. One dreadful night, she is forced to confront her worst nightmare. The shadows were real. The demons are real. And they've come to pull her into the darkness of another world.

She wakes up alone and disoriented, on another planet. This planet is one that is ruled by monsters she never thought could exist outside of hell. Though most creatures don't recognize who she is, the ones who do are powerful monsters with a vicious plan. They will stop at nothing to find her again.

The demons who are after her, brought her to this world for a specific reason. They believe she is the key to opening a door, which will allow their species to annihilate mankind. These beasts believe that mankind is evil, so if successful, they will show no mercy. In order to keep those that she loves safe, she must find a way back home without falling into the hands of her enemies.

The odds are stacked against her. This planet is filled with hungry predators, dangerous plants, and unpredictable weather. She must learn how to fight, what to eat, and how to survive on a planet far more dangerous than her own. She must question the motives and intentions of anyone she meets. There are enemies who hide behind masks of purity who will destroy her for their own needs.

Will she fall into the enemy's hands and become the key to destroying everything she loves? Will she die trying to escape? These are all questions that haunt her till the end, when she must singlehandedly fight the most diabolical demon of all.
