So she knew that Sam might smell her cooking and show up on her door stoop. He did. And with her muzzleloader, Josephine gave Sam safety to harvest his million-dollar eight-point buck. Now he could financially help his son, Robert, a former smoke jumper, wounded in the Sawtooth mountains of Idaho.
