Philosophy - the term sounds fascinating, beautiful, somehow romantic and harmonious, and at the same time like great intellectual effort. Yet philosophy is actually neither particularly romantic nor particularly strenuous.
It is true that one has to use one's brain, and perhaps some things exceed normal common sense, but basically philosophy only means to be interested in man and the world. The image one has in one's mind of ancient Greek philosophers strolling in their long robes in the Athenian sun while exchanging their thoughts may seem romantic, but they often dealt with serious topics and many did not only make friends with their sometimes revolutionary thoughts.
In this guide, I would like to give you a first insight into the great subject of philosophy and also bring it closer to you in a practical way. After an explanation of what philosophy is exactly and what it deals with concretely, I would like to introduce you not only some important philosophical currents and wisdoms of the philosophers, but also give you some exercises and tips on the way so that you can easily integrate philosophy into your life.
