"Escape from Mayor Day" is a story about a girl who grew up in a small town where they do things a little differently. She is trying to find her father who has been missing for a good number of years after she left town for college and medical school. She must come back and save her father from whatever the evil mayor has in store for him. The only catch is she has one day to do it.

"Tanda" is about a young trans woman who recently came out to her family as Trans. She is on the run and trying to escape her hateful family when she decides enough is enough and she can't take the ways of this life anymore. She is permitted an out of body experience with the Native American spirit of birth and death to see what the world would be like without her. The only question is will she choose to stay with Tanda, or will she make the choice to live every day to the fullest?

"Chester" is about a girl and her pet pig; they have this way of communicating where they can understand one another even though others look at them crazily. She gets confused when they get to the fair and accidentally unloads Chester to be sold at the auction. She must race to save the only friend she has in this world. Will it be too late?

"Choice" is about a young gay man on his way to finally accepting who he is. His whole childhood he was told that being gay was bad, and that he would go to hell because of it. We follow him along this confusing journey of coming out to those he loves while trying to maintain relationships along the way. Wil he be able to find the true happiness that all the romance books he reads says is out there?

"A Picturesque Mishap" is about a pregnant woman and her husband trying to pull off an art heist. The husband is abusive and always forces his wife to go along with his plans in order to have some semblance of peace. We follow along as she enacts her plan to get her and her baby away from him for good. Will she be able to escape with her life?

"The End of Me" is a story about a teenage boy who is able to be in the room at his funeral and is able to interact with others through people. He finally gets to say what has been on his mind for years, without the repercussions. He is also able to get his murderer to come forward.

"The Trouble with the Flight" is a short preview that I have decided to use in this book of short stories. Ever since he was abandoned as a child Brad has felt like he has had no one in the world for him, which has caused his heart to harden. In a world only a few miles away, shifting dragon Alec has had to watch his brothers marry off and produce offspring, and all he wants is to have what his brothers have. Can Brad and Alec find a way to show each other that love is the way and that they belong together, or will they be ripped apart by disbelief?
