The day we realize that there is a voice in our head that questions the negative thoughts that spring up and seem to increase over time, is the day we realize we naturally do not want these negative thoughts but rather be left in peace.
This poem sheds light on how we all suffer from these negative and, unfortunately, influential thoughts, and the sooner we recognize this trickery of the mind; the sooner we can work towards overcoming this restraint on our happiness.
We must all understand that children suffer from this mental struggle as well, and as caregivers, we need to bring awareness to this idiosyncrasy and educate on overcoming it together.
My hope is that this silly poem sparks awareness and starts the conversation and journey to mental health early.
