When a young man purchases an old broken down farm in hopes of restoration, he finds the property is haunted by a young, seductive woman. More surprised than anything, the two find themselves wrapped into each other in more ways than one

"Let me hug you. Pretend that the hug comes from your boyfriend. Maybe that will help put your soul at ease."
"You can't touch me. Your arms will go right through me."
He tried anyway, and it was as she said. He couldn't touch her.
"That hug would be nice. Can I hold you to that promise?"
"Yeah, but how? I just went right through you."
"Tomorrow, on Halloween, the realms get closer, and I can interact with the living."
"I'll be here."
He saw a faint smile before she disappeared right before her eyes.
There were no more weird noises or things getting smashed around the house. Helen showed up the next day as promised when Jeremy was downstairs looking at some papers.
"Come here, let me give you that hug that I promised," he said.
The woman went to Jeremy's open arms, and, to his surprise, she didn't go through him. She felt like a person, bone and flesh.
Her hair smelled like the field behind the farm. Her skin was soft, and when she trembled in his arms, she realized how alone she must have felt over the years.
Her endgame was to drive people away while remaining alone, her soul trapped in that place.
"You look like my boyfriend," she said, looking up at him.
"He was a lucky man to have such a beautiful and kind girl at his side."
She closed the distance between them and kissed his lips. He was surprised but in a good way. Her full lips and warm breath made him forget that she was a spirit, and he saw her as a woman who wanted to be kissed and touched.
