What is Regional Economics

Economic regional economics is a sub-discipline of economics, and it is frequently considered to be one of the subjects that fall within the umbrella of the social sciences. By addressing the economic component of regional problems that may be spatially analyzed, it is possible to derive theoretical or policy implications with regard to regions whose geographical reach varies from local to global areas. This is accomplished by addressing the economic part of the regional problems.
