Introduction One night while asleep, I dreamt that an Albino child sat beside my bed and shared his life story and he encouraged me to write this book. I struggled with this tall order because when I awakened, I couldn¿t understand why I had the dream nor why I of all people was asked to write it. I didn't know anything about Albinism or Albino people so I tried to ignore the request but it haunted me until I wrote it. I had only met one Albino person in my life who was a very kind, older gentleman named Ted who sold movies at the liquor store. The young boy in my dream also shared the experiences of his best friends who were mistreated, persecuted and shunned because of their skin tones and physical differences. There are many shades in the African American race and all God¿s children are beautiful and should be treated as such. As sick and as confused as our society can be, I would not have wanted to be in this young man¿s shoes. Be careful how you treat others. You never know who might have to help you someday and karma can be a bitch.
