The close-knit Sierra Nevada Mountain town of Markleeville Station is peaceful, where serious crimes never occur. Fly fishing for trout is sacrosanct to its few residents. The local's creed harbors a severe disdain for out-of-town "meat draggers" who fish for their super trout with live bait. The East Carson River flows through the town to Nevada.
