Rhys Selkirk was born in 1784 into a family legacy that he refused to believe was his destiny. Collin has been his best friend since boyhood and they've endlessly dreamed of better, brighter lives outside the small village. So, when Rhys' father tells him he must marry a local girl and continue the bloodline, the boys choose to run away, rather than be trapped.
