This is the German translation of my play Rizal which I originally wrote in Spanish and translated by myself to English. In 2010, I gave lectures on Hispano-Philippine Literature at the Polytechnic University of Dresden, and two of the participants, Marcel Behringer and Jonas Kraeusel did the translation as part of their final papers.
The English version of the play was published in print by the International Readers' Theatre and later online in Scribd, and the original Spanish was included in a printed publication, Hexalogia Teatral, together with five other plays*,* published in Spain in 2010 by Coleccion Oriente. There is also an Italian version in PDF format translated by Vasco Caini, a Rizal scholar, who also translated Rizal's novels, poems and essays, at his website (rizal.it).
