Every nation in the world has its own folklore heritage legends, myths, fairy-tales. In such stories the wisdom of every nation is collected and embodied, although some of the nations have similar tales, especially those who are neighbours. Tales are stories that are supposed to teach the coming generations by depicting various situations and various types of behaviour demonstrated by the heroes. Rory Macgillivray is a short folk tale. The story is set in the neighbourhood of Cairngorm, in Strathspey. Once, a tenant with his family moved there. Two of his sons went to walk in Glenavon, an old forest, which is believed to be inhabited by ghost and fairies. And, because of their curiosity two brothers lost themselves in the woods, but found an adventure.
