The average 12-year old has seen 8,000 murders and 100,000 acts of violence on network television? The U.S. Surgeon General has placed TV violence controversy in the same context as smoking and lung cancer? Research has associated exposure to media violence with variety of physical and mental health problems for children and adolescents including aggressive behavior, desensitization to violence, fear, depression, sleep disturbances and nightmares?
