SCENES BEYOND THE GRAVE

This is a documented true story as Rev. Scott recorded Marietta's revelation of her trance. Her first observation as she awoke..."There are no means to convey to man through his external senses, any just idea of the scenes I witnessed, while my body was reposing in its unconscious slumbers. Only those who experience its moving realities can distinguish life within the veil. No medium of communication is sufficiently clear, to give the perfect outlines of that which is invisible and incomprehensible to mortals." Notation from the reverend, "No language of mine is in any way capable of explaining the feelings that awaken in the soul, while reading the narrative, and whatever may have been the inspiring cause because (and I believe she saw what she relates), I feel that whoever reads the Trance with any degree of care will receive from it, lasting benefit. I am therefore solicitous that it should be spread abroad through the land..." This translation keeps the poetic style of Marietta while bringing clarity to the work. She wasn't naturally inclined to speak in this manner before her trance but when she awoke she found human utterance incapable of expressing what she witnessed in the world of peace. You will be blessed as you enter Heaven into the Infants Paradise where our little ones who have departed this life find a new home awaiting their loved ones they left here on earth. Marietta fell asleep in August 1848 and left this world in March of 1849 at the time and in the manner predicted by herself. Her story is remarkable, and you will find hope in her message.
