This book represents the true life of France in that period of time. Rumi was an abandoned child. He was raised by the wife of a mason. After the mason got injured he was sold to a old busker. The old man was kind but later was put into prison and frozen to death. Then Rumi was saved by a gardener, but the gardener was also put into prison because of debt. Rumi became alone but he didn't give up. Finally he found his real mother.
