Jonathan Pryce was not like any other man that she had dated. He was stunning to look at, and he possessed a facetious charm which most women would find all but impossible to resist. But he was also aggressive and domineering, a powerful and, at times, downright tyrannical alpha male, everything that she had vowed to steer clear of in a man. In short, he was everything that her brothers were, and she did not need another man in her life who wanted to control her, not when she had already spent that entire life fighting to extricate herself from under the oppressive thumb of her four older siblings.
But the way in which he looked at her, the way in which he touched her, also made her think of the unwavering adoration that her brothers had for their wives, of the undying devotion which glowed in their eyes when they were around her sisters-in-law, the kind of love and commitment that she had so long yearned for, yet had never truly dared to hope for. And she couldn't deny that it was utterly intoxicating to think that she had the ability to wield a similar kind of power over a man as forceful as Jonathan Pryce.
