Sometimes it is hard to speak, when the heart has been broken and the pieces have been scattered. So I write. I share my thoughts and emotions, raw and uncensored, within these pages. My name is Alicia and I have written these words. Scribbled with a Broken Heart is a collection of poetry about heartbreak and pain from romantic delusion, written from the female prospective.
--------------------------
Love lessons made her this way,
Caged behind walls that are invisible to the naked eye.
Wild desires made her this way,
Weary of flames that burn too bright.
A careless man made her this way,
Untrusting, hardened and unwilling to bend even just an inch.
See, when she was young,
Seductive words of a sly man gave her tantalizing chills then they cut deep
Soft caresses made her writhe for satisfaction then bend her head in shame.
She has learned to listen, wait and see, suspicious
To study body language and inspect every action
Even when innocence crosses her path, she remains the warden of her heart.
