Diavian Hatara has been searching for her lover, Kailah, for the past eighteen months. She longs to apologise for their disastrous last meeting in Glasgow during which they were both hunted and grievously injured at the hands of a fanatical group of vampire hunters named Assassins. She longs to pick up where they left off and once more hunt together . . . drink together . . . sleep together.

There is but one problem. Kailah doesn't want to be found.

After following clues up and down the country, Diavian has narrowed her search to a run down block of flats in a grimy corner of London. Here, she knows her missing lover has been living the quiet life of a human woman.
