Casey Anthony told detectives during a 2008 investigation that a woman named Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez, her nanny for 2 years, kidnapped her 2-year-old daughter. Investigators determined that there was no nanny and most of Casey's story regarding the previous month were nothing but lies. The State of Florida charged Casey Anthony with murder.

Caylee Anthony's remains were found less than one mile from the Anthony's home.

Casey Anthony was found not guilty of first-degree murder and the other most serious charges against her in the death of her 2-year-old daughter.
