Of Calypso, ultimately the sole survivor of the shipwreck, later having her olive-skinned baby taken away; her decades of living in the cottage, and the people who pass through it before and during the Great War, the 1918 'flu epidemic and The Depression. Returning to the present, shifting sands reveal an even older 1870 shipwreck, and from it, Leda and her young friends extract antiques. One of these friends is feisty Diana who takes up archaeology as a hobby, and learns that the 1870 shipwreck has more than antiques aboard.
